Walking in Authority and Truth

Written by Mrs. Emily Maxwell

Why is it important to remind our spirit and our mind of the truth of what God says? Because the enemy will do everything he can to tell you otherwise. If he can get into your mind, he has power over you. Then your spirit starts to become weaker and a stronghold begins to build. Your mindset wanders from the truth and is convinced of the lies.

The enemy wants to destroy your relationship with your Heavenly Father. He wants to steal the joy you have of communing with Him every day.

Do you know you have power over this thanks to what Jesus did on the cross? In Luke 10:19, Jesus says this “Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority.”

What the enemy tries to throw at you is NOTHING compared to the AUTHORITY Christ has given you. The cross has the final word!

Remind yourself:

When the enemy says “You’ll always live in fear, say 2 Tim. 1:7 “The Spirit of God has given me a sound mind!”

When the enemy says “God has forgotten you”, say Deut. 31:6 “…for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

When the enemy says “You might as well give up” say Philippians 1:6 “I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!”

What God says triumphs over every thought, oppression, burden and fear. Today and this week walk in the TRUTH of what God says!
