Do Not Fear

Written by Mrs. O'Desha Babin

My favorite Scripture- "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." — Isaiah 41:10

Devotional-

Fear has a way of sneaking into our hearts when life feels uncertain. Whether it's health, finances, relationships, or an unknown future, fear whispers that we are alone and powerless. But Isaiah 41:10 speaks directly to that lie. God Himself says, "I am with you." His presence is not distant or conditional—it is steady, unshakable, and personal. When our strength feel drained, God promises, "I will strengthen you." When the weight of life feels overwhelming, He says, "I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Notice the emphasis—He doesn't merely send help; He is our help. His hand that formed the universe is the same hand holding you today. In moments of fear, we don't have to muster courage on our own. Courage is not the absence of fear—it's choosing to trust God's presence in the middle of it. The God who parted seas, shut the mouths of lions, and raised the dead is the same God who whispers to you now: "Do not be afraid."

Reflection—

What fears are you carrying today that you need to place in God's hands?

How does knowing God is with you change the way you face challenges?

Prayer—

Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that I never walk alone. When fear rises, help me to rest in your presence. Strengthen me when I feel weak, and uphold me when I stumble. Teach me to trust Your righteous right hand to carry me through. In Jesus' name, Amen
