A Devotional for Mothers

Written by Mrs. Mallory Cooley

Lamentations 3:22-24

As a mom, I find myself mixing and combining schedules: my husband and my work schedules, ball and cheer schedules, feeding schedules, sleeping schedules, ect. Sometimes, in the midst of all the business, I find myself wondering am I doing this right? Am I missing something more the Lord has for me, for my kids, for my family.

I know I make mistakes in my journey as a mother, and in life in general, we all do! That is why we need Jesus! This verse stops me and reminds me that each and every day, the Lord has supplied a brand new full tank of strength for me and for you! No matter what schedule, missed opportunity, or failure I might see from the day before, he has given me a new day, and his strength to walk in all I need to do is seek him.

On the days I find myself struggling to seek and trust him the most, I challenge myself to use the alphabet to make a list of God’s attributes. (A. Almighty, B. Beautiful, C. Compassionate, ect) as you walk through life’s journey today, remember to stop and trust the Lord for strength. Place your focus on his attributes!
